About Us

Joseph Schmucker
After graduating Ithaca College in 1993 with a Bachelor’s in Film, Photography, and Visual Arts, Joseph moved to Athens, Georgia. Shortly thereafter he interned on the film production “Cobb” working in the scenic department as a Set Painter. Various gigs and positions in the industry followed, but ended with a position in a local sign shop as the lead designer and production artist. Two years later, feeling bored with the limitations of sign design, he decided to start a business in decorative painting and faux finishing with Julie Stoner. That year was 1996, and he has been living the vision that is Mondo ever since.

Julie attended the Finishing School in Queens, New York in 1996 and received a finishing license. Since then, she has also attended the Finishing School located in Atlanta to hone her skills in Color Consultation, Designer Finishes and Guilding. With over twelve years of experience in this field, Julie brings unparalleled expertise and professionalism to every project.
